Mulan
Mulan was released in 1998 and it serves as a nice departure from Disney’s more traditional, fairy tale roots. Mulan is a song riddled adventure that shows how tough the not-so-traditional Disney princesses can be. This film was revered for flipping gender roles and giving little girls at home something new to cheer for.

Inside Out
Inside Out went inside of the heads of its characters in a unique way, and not a creepy cosmetic dentistry type way. Inside Out is still fairly new so we’ll see how time treats it. The film gave viewers an insightful look at how emotions make up our life and how each individual emotion is so important.
