Stephanie Jass
Stephanie Jass made the news for more reasons than her impressive performance on the show. She had a seven-game winning streak in 2012 where she took home a total of $166,000. Since then, she has been making headlines for impermissible computer access at her job. She hacked some email accounts at her place of employment, Adrian College in December 2017. She was a former history professor and faculty member at the school, but since the incident the Michigan State Police and Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office began an investigation.

In 2017, she set a record with her 6-day streak winning $139,100! Naturally, this microbiologist made it to the Tournament of Champions for 2017. So, Schlitt got to take home an additional $15,400. Schlitt shed light on what it’s like to compete in the Tournament saying, “The expectation kind of weighs on you…up against such formidable people. Everyone there has essentially proven themselves to be the best of the best, at least in the past couple years.” Sounds really intense!
