How Hurdler Michelle Jenneke Became A Hit
Okay so we know her big moment did not technically happen at the Olympics, but she went on to compete in the Rio games. Anyway, before the 2012 World Junior Championships, no one had heard of Michelle Jenneke. She was just a hurdler from Kenthurst, Australia. Sure, she had competed in the 2010 Junior Olympics, but she was not world famous. Perhaps, it was April 2011 when she finished third at the 89th Australian Athletics Championships in the 100 m hurdles behind the world champion Sally Pearson that other runners began to recognize her talent. Though it was not until her participation in 2012 at the Championships that the world would remember her!

After achieving worldwide fame for a mere warm up, came an unbelievable offer from the famous Sports Illustrated. They requested Michelle model for their yearly Swimsuit Issue. Hearing the news, Michelle was ecstatic. During the shoot, the crew even complimented her natural modeling skills. Of course, she showed them her famous warm up.
