Air Force One is a huge flying container full of secrets. There is much we don’t know about it, but a few presidents have fortunately leaked facts about it, and we must say they’re pretty unbelievable!
Everyone knows that Air Force One is the private jet designed and used exclusively by presidents of the United States. It’s a top-secret vault of information, and it flies everywhere. However, the code has been cracked, and we’re finally ready to reveal some of the tidbits that no one knew about this airplane until now. Are you ready to hear the crazy facts about Air Force One? Let’s dive in now!
Fast and High
Air Force One flies about 700 miles an hour, which is quite fast. Likewise, it can go higher than commercial planes at about 45,000 feet. That’s roughly 10,000 feet higher than the cruising altitude of passenger airliners, but it’s still a smooth ride!
Doesn’t Have to Touch Ground
Did you know that Air Force One can refuel in the air? It doesn’t have to touch the ground and could actually fly forever if the pilots wanted to. This is to keep the president airborne for as long as necessary to protect him (or her!). Plus, it features a 3,000-gallon fuel tank!
