Credit Cards All The Time
Many Americans will use their credit card for every single purchase, no matter how small. Non-Americans are often confused by this because in many other countries, there is a minimum charge in order to use a credit card. In the U.S., it’s perfectly normal to use a credit card for a purchase that’s even less than a dollar.
Extreme Consumerism
While this is true in other countries as well, the United States is most often associated with extreme consumerism. Going shopping is considered to be a pastime and a favorite hobby of many Americans, and this is quite confusing to many non-Americans.
