A Childhood Memory
In one scene, Bart puts his weapon to his head to be freed by his people. This is something Brooks did as a child. The director went into a store and tried stealing a water pistol and gum. When he was caught, he put the pistol to his head and threatened to pull the trigger.
Make Way For The Extra
The film’s final scene is a chase through the film studio but not everyone there was meant to be. A pedestrian accidentally appeared on the set and didn’t understand Brooks’ instructions to leave. The director decided to allow the stranger to be in the film and had him sign off on appearing in the scene.
