The soldiers all gathered around her while she was lying on the ground, shouting their support. They yelled things like, “Get up,” and “you got this, ma’am.” That motivation got her going, so she leaned on the rifle and made it to her feet!

Though unsteady, Sarah started to march again and was only a couple of feet from the finish line. The soldiers continued to shout support while some walked beside her as she fought for the honor.
