Elizabeth Banks played first lady Laura Bush in W., a film that told the story of her husband George W. Bush’s presidency. However, the film did not do very well and many critics were quite negative about it. What was especially egregious about Banks’ casting was the fact that she was meant to play a Laura Bush that was in her 50’s, when she was clearly much younger than that. A lot of people took issue with this.
