Chilling Signature
During the raid of Neverland, police discovered what appeared to be a quite chilling signed photo of Culkin. The signature read, “Don’t leave me alone in the house.” What some saw as a desperate plea for help, was truly just a Home Alone reference. As revealed on his interview with Larry King, Macaulay explained after MJ watched Home Alone he phoned the young star, asking him to come hang at the ranch, where they enjoyed rides and video games. Even though he spent the night many times, Culkin stated he never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable. He has stood by his friend’s side all along. Eventually during the 2005 trial, Jackson was acquitted of all charges.

While appearing to lie low while off the screen, Culkin still kept busy. After dating fellow actress Rachel Miner for some time, the two wed in 1998. He was just 18 years old at the time, but unfortunately, the marriage only lasted until 2002. During most of his marriage, he stayed clear of acting. However, the world anxiously awaited his return.
