One of the first things people think of when they think of Paris is the Eiffel Tower. It has easily become an icon in Paris. The structure was designed from 1887 to 1889 by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World’s Fair. It’s hard to believe that it was first met with a load of criticism by locals.
