Fellow British rock star Eric Clapton was linked to a French model, whom Harrison ended up having an affair with. When Boyd found out, she was absolutely devastated. Additionally, Clapton began collaborating with Harrison, and the two ended up spending a lot of time creating music with one another.

Since Harrison and Clapton were spending so much time together, it made sense that naturally so did Boyd. She was surprised to find out that his stage persona was wildly different from his day to day demeanor. She shared: “When I met him, he didn’t behave like a rock star. He was surprisingly shy and reticent.” She admitted that she loved that he paid attention to her.
