Hailed as one of Netflix’s best shows, Jessica Jones has made its mark on the Marvel industry. Superhero Jessica Jones is played by Krysten Ritter, but the cast also includes stars like David Tennant and Rachael Taylor. Besides the incredible performances from the cast, critics also praised the show’s handling of some darker topics. Also every episode of the second season, which Netflix released in early March 2018, was directed by women.

Coming to HBO this summer, we have the miniseries Sharp Objects, based on the book of the same name by Gillian Flynn. Of course, people are expecting only the best from this show considering Amy Adams is starring in it. Also the director Jean-Marc Vallée has recently worked on the critically acclaimed HBO show, Big Little Lies. We can’t wait!
