What Did He See?
Raffield noticed something strange in one of the photos, but couldn’t tell exactly what he was seeing until he blew up the photo to make it larger. He was shocked to see what looked like a 30 foot tall scorch mark. He cross referenced with the other photos and saw that the mark was consistent throughout the pictures.
The Great Fire
Due to the Titanic’s massive size, it meant that a lot of energy was needed to power the ship. There needed to be coal bunkers that were large enough to accommodate all of the coal needed to power the massive ship. There was one peculiar element that helped heat up the whole reserve.
