Jackie Curtis was another performer who worked with Andy Warhol who was a free spirit and performed without abandon. She depicted powerful female roles that didn’t cave into stereotypes. She also was an accomplished writer and poet. She struggled with substance abuse and sadly died in 1985.

Mimi Marks was considered to be the most beautiful trans model in the world during the 1980’s. She transitioned when she was just 21 and later won the Ms. Waterloo pageant in 1986. She also won the Miss International Queen, Pattaya Thailand: The World’s Most Beautiful Transsexual Contest.
