A Confession
Then came a shocking confession. A man named Shawn Eckardt came forward to FBI agents as an accomplice in the assault. Even more alarming, he revealed it was Jeff Gillooly, Harding’s ex-husband who planned the attack! It took time for Harding to admit she was aware of this. In fact, US Olympic Committee wanted her off the team, but her lawyers filed a 25 million dollar lawsuit.

The Finals
After all that, Kerrigan recovered and was able to compete in the Olympics. Obviously, the envrironment was extremely tense as the two faced off. Kerrigan secured first heading into the finals, and Harding was down at 10th place. Then, during the finals Kerrigan narrowly missed winning the gold, but went home with silver. Not too shabby! Oh and Harding got to go home and not to prison unlike her ex and his accomplices.
