It may due to the constant exposure to celebrities and their seemingly perfect looks, but many Americans tend to undergo dental treatments such as braces and teeth whitening. This is much less common in Europe, and this leads to a lot of Americans making the assumption that Europeans have “bad teeth.” Non-bleached teeth are not necessarily unhealthy teeth.

A lot of non-Americans can’t understand the typical American’s eating and exercise (or lack thereof) habits, especially since health care is so costly in the United States. It seems like for a country that does not offer free health care, its citizens would take excellent care of themselves, when in reality, the exact opposite is true.
