One Reddit user pointed out some very real facts about the reality of many Americans’ lives, like extremely high cost of education and health care, and the lack of safety in schools. While the U.S. has been one of the richest countries in the world for years, since it is a liberal democracy, it means that it does not guarantee many benefits ordained by law (like free health care), like many other countries do.

An issue that is very prevalent in the United States is the high rate of homelessness, which seems strange since many view America as the land of opportunity. Over half a million people do not have a home to go to at the end of each evening.
