They Found Her
Holly’s parents told Martha that they had found Holly over twenty years ago. She was roaming around the streets, and after they picked her up, they realized that no parents came to find the girl, so they took her in and raised her as their own. Martha was stunned, as this all but confirmed her theory. She became overcome with emotion, and was filled with a storm of feelings. Twenty years before, she had lost her daughter, and she spent all these years wondering if something terrible had happened to her. Martha was not sure what to say to Holly’s adoptive parents, especially after they told her that they had gone to the police. Why hadn’t he authorities notified her that her daughter was found?

Holly was curious to see how the meeting between Mark’s mother and her parents was going, so she decided to eavesdrop on the conversation. She pretended to have a conversation with her friends, smiling and nodding all along, but was really listening to her parents’ conversation with Martha.
